Leaving is one tap.

Open Sakinah, go to the You tab, and choose Delete account. You will be asked to confirm once. After that the deletion is immediate and permanent.

There is no waiting period, no cooling-off window, and no way for us to undo it for you. If you come back to Sakinah later, you will be starting a new account from scratch.

Deleting your account erases:

• Your profile and every answer in it
• Your photo
• Your identity document
• Your messages
• Your salams, sent and received
• Your activity history

Sakinah emails a copy of your wali-observed conversations to the wali on record. Once that email has been sent, it sits in that person's mailbox, on their mail provider, outside Sakinah entirely.

Deleting your account removes those messages from Sakinah. It cannot reach into someone else's inbox and take back mail they have already received. If that matters to you, ask them directly.

Locked out, lost the phone, or no longer have the email on the account? Write to sakinah.help@gmail.com and tell us enough to find the account: the email address you signed up with, or the name on the profile.

We will verify that the account is yours before we delete anything, because a deletion request is not something we can take on trust from a stranger.
